Update on the National Cashback Program: What's Changing from March 1

Since March 1, the «National Cashback» program has switched to a differentiated accrual model. Instead of a single rate of 10%, two cashback rates have been introduced depending on the product category.

New cashback rates:

• 15% (increased rate)
  Accrued on Ukrainian-made goods in categories where the share of imports in the consumer basket exceeds 35%. These include non-food products, certain types of pasta and cereals, as well as hard and soft cheeses and other categories with high import competition.
• 5% (base rate)

Accrued on Ukrainian-made goods in categories where the share of imports is lower than 35%. These are most food products (except hard and soft cheeses and some types of cereals and pasta), pharmacy products, garden products, etc.

Why were the changes introduced?

The update of rates takes into account the competitive situation on the market. In some categories, Ukrainian producers already have strong positions and a stable share, while in other segments they are inferior to imported products. A differentiated approach allows you to direct increased support precisely to those categories where competition with imports is the highest, and to create more balanced conditions for the development of Ukrainian production.

The mechanics of the program remain unchanged:
• Cashback is credited to the National Cashback
• Estimated crediting period — after the 20th of the next month
• The amount of the charge can be checked in the Diya
application• No additional actions are required to connect — the charge is automatic
• The maximum amount of cashback — up to 3000 UAH per month

What can you use cashback for?

The funds can be used for:

•  payment of utility services
•  postal services
•  goods of Ukrainian production
•  medicines and medical products
•  books and other printed products
•  charity, in particular donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

• Cashback does not affect the price of the product
• Not subject to tax
• Cannot be withdrawn in cash
• Also applies to online purchases provided the seller participates in the program and cashless payment
