Today, the All-Ukrainian information campaign to protect the rights of consumers of insurance services "Know your rights: insurance", organized by National Bank of Ukraine.

MTB Bank is proud to announce its support for the All-Ukrainian information campaign to protect the rights of consumers of insurance services "Know your rights: insurance", organized by the National Bank of Ukraine. The campaign started today and aims to improve the knowledge of Ukrainians about insurance services and protect their rights.

Today, the topic of insurance remains insufficiently covered among consumers. The majority of Ukrainians use only mandatory insurance services or those chosen for them by other organizations. The campaign "Know your rights: insurance" will help consumers better understand their rights and obligations, learn how to choose an insurance company, what to pay attention to when concluding an insurance contract, as well as how to act in the event of insurance incidents.

Key task and goal of the campaign “Know your rights: insurance” – protection of policyholders' rights and improvement of consumer knowledge about insurance services. Within its limits, consumers will receive clarification on the following issues:

how to choose an insurance company;
what to pay attention to when concluding an insurance contract;
where to search and how to get comprehensive information about insurance products;
how to act when an insurance event happened to avoid problems with insurance payments from the insurer;
what is the deductible in insurance and why should you pay attention to its presence and size specified in the contract;
how to act when faced with the imposition of an insurance contract or violation of consumer rights.

The National Bank of Ukraine, as a regulator of the insurance market, strives to ensure the transparency and stability of financial institutions, as well as the protection of consumer rights. The adoption of the new Law of Ukraine "On Insurance", which entered into force on January 1, 2024, and the new edition of the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory Civil Liability Insurance of Land Vehicle Owners", adopted on June 17, 2024, are important steps in this direction . The new legislation obliges insurers to disclose comprehensive information about the terms of insurance contracts, which will contribute to increasing consumer awareness and protection.
