From February 9, 2026, the Bank will switch to the new international standard for exchanging financial messages SWIFT ISO 20022 (MX format) for international SWIFT transfers.
SWIFT, as a key player in the international financial communications market, is implementing a global migration program to ISO 20022. The transition to the new standard allows for the transmission of more structured data in a payment message and improves the quality of processing international payments.
What is SWIFT ISO 20022 (MX)
ISO 20022 is a modern standard for exchanging financial information. Unlike the previous SWIFT MT format (e.g. MT103), the new standard uses the pacs.008 message in XML format, which supports more detailed and structured information, including structured data about the payment parties (payer and beneficiary), their addresses, etc.
Key benefits for customers
Faster transfer processing thanks to more automated data processing in ISO 20022 format.
Less delays, returns and clarifications due to incomplete or inaccurate details along the payment route.
More data transparency: details, assignments and fees are displayed in a more structured way.
Improved data quality and control: standardized fields reduce the number of errors when filling in.
What is important to consider when making a SWIFT transfer from 09.02.2026
The SWIFT MX format increases the requirements for completeness and structure of details. To avoid delays, we recommend:
fill in the details of the payer and the recipient as completely as possible (including country/city/address);
carefully check the recipient's bank details (BIC/SWIFT);
use the instructions for filling out the payment instruction in the new format (located below on the page).
Instructions
This page contains instructions for filling out the SWIFT MX (ISO 20022) payment instruction, including a description of the fields and recommendations for correct payment processing.
