#Brave hryvnia: almost 5 million hryvnias were collected in coins as part of the charity campaign of the National Bank!

The collection of coins for defense purposes continued throughout Ukraine for three months - from August 1 to October 31 of this year.

The sum of collected funds was transferred to a special account of the National Bank, opened for the needs of the defense forces of Ukraine.

Everyone could transfer coins in denominations of 10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5, 10 hryvnias to help the Ukrainian military through a wide network of partner banks: Oschadbank, PUMB, IBOXBANK, Motorbank, Industrialbank, Investment and Savings Bank, Radabank, RwSbank, MTB Bank , Ukrainian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Ukrgasbank, A-Bank, Idea Bank, "Pivdenny" bank, as well as at COMFY stores and "Hollywood" shopping center in Chernihiv.

In addition, it was possible to transfer non-payment coins of 1, 2, 5, 25 kopecks by dropping them into a box at PUMB branches or at the NBU (Kyiv, Kontraktova ploshcha, 2a). The equivalent of the collected coins was also transferred to a special account.

"We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributes to the victory, even if it is only 10 kopecks. The war continues, and the support of Ukrainian defenders is needed now, as in the first days of the war. Ukrainians understand this well and constantly unite to to help and support the defenders of Ukraine at the front," commented Oleksiy Shaban, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine. "It is also valuable that children and educational institutions actively participated in the action to collect coins for defense needs. 2,573 educational institutions from all over the world took part in the action "

At the same time, due to rocket attacks and power outages, many citizens did not have time to hand over the collected coins to the reception points before the end of the campaign. In this regard, the National Bank together with Oschadban decided to continue the charity collection of coins - until November 4 inclusive, they can still be transferred to a special account within the framework of the "Brave hryvnia" campaign (only in Oschadbank branches).

We will remind that the mobilization of funds for defense needs is one of the priority directions in the work of the National Bank since the beginning of the war. On February 24, the National Bank opened a special account to help Ukrainian defenders. Funds for it come both from citizens and enterprises of Ukraine, and from the international community. In more than eight months since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 21.8 billion hryvnias have been transferred to this account, of which the National Bank has already transferred more than 21.3 billion hryvnias to defense needs.
